LEADERSHIP FOR WISCONSIN'S ASSEMBLY DISTRICT 79
LEADERSHIP FOR WISCONSIN'S ASSEMBLY DISTRICT 79
I believe with new voices and citizen centered leadership in the state capitol, we can build a stronger economy in Wisconsin for the years ahead, strengthen regional cooperation, develop a first-rate public infrastructure, recommit to excellence in our public schools and universities, and ensure healthy lakes, rivers, and public lands, preserving our state's natural heritage. I will stand up for our rights in the state legislature, including protecting the fundamental right to vote, a woman's right to choose, and safer communities through responsible gun reforms.
A former NASA specialist turned entrepreneur, I founded Archer Geographic to work with public and private partners to focus on solving complex land and water issues. I have run the company true to progressive values, in both hiring practices and valuing employees, and evaluating projects for positive social impact. I have a master's degree in natural resources, and aim to take my experience to the state legislature to build new coalitions and passionately work for the future of Wisconsin's land and water natural resources, including our lakes, public lands, trails, and state parks. I have lived in the 79th assembly district for over twenty years with my wife Andrea, where we have raised our two children, both graduates of Madison Memorial High School.
- Robert "Fighting Bob" La Follette
The right to vote is at the very core of our democracy. All of Wisconsin's citizens should seek to exercise that right, and the proper aim of our political process is to have 100% voter participation. I truly believe that the more people vote, the stronger we are as a citizenry, and the more united we stand against the special interests of the few. In the state legislature, I will work to protect our voting rights and expand access to voting for all. Now is the time to redouble our efforts to move to a nonpartisan redistricting process in Wisconsin to eliminate the egregious abuse of power exercised through gerrymandering under the current legislature.
I believe this moment calls for new voices, new leadership, and a diverse group of citizens committed to public service to center on the voices of the people of our state over special interests and work towards shared solutions to our common problems. As our representative to the state assembly, I aim to listen intently to the people of our district, vigorously advocate for our district at the state level, and pledge to work hard in both serving the constituents of the 79th district and advancing legislation that will have a positive impact on the issues that matter most to our district.
